A failed test is virtually a guaranteed career-ender in the British Army, and only a slim 0.8% of personnel have tested positive in the last 3 years. The three men and two women were in the Royal Horse Artillery, which represents the army during state events.

Duke Seeking More Privacy for British Royals

The Duke of Edinburgh is using a recent ruling by Britain’s High Court—one that sided against the press in the unfortunate Max Mosley Nazi sex scandal—as the basis for a legal challenge to win more privacy for the royal family, the Daily Telegraph reports. Prince Philip is taking a complaint against a paper that alleged he has prostate cancer to Britain’s Press Complaints Commission, hoping it will rule such information outside the realm of “public interest.”

Ivanka Tops Best-Dressed List

Vanity Fair ’s International Best-Dressed List holds few surprises. The royal knickers, which sport a 50-inch waist and a "VR" monogram, date from the 1890s. The queen was apparently "a very big lady," noted the auctioneer. The bloomers were part of a trove of memorabilia stashed over the years by royal servant "Backstairs Billy," who died last year.

Wills' Ship Busts Coke Runner

The Royal Navy warship Prince William is serving on busted a speedboat carrying $80 million worth of cocaine northeast of Barbados, the Sun reports. While that’s just $1.30 per taxpayer, Buckingham Palace says, critics note unnecessary expenses, like a $44,000 helicopter trip to the Kentucky Derby.

Mom of Prince's Girlfriend Set to Meet Queen

The mother of Prince William's girlfriend is set to meet Queen Elizabeth tomorrow, the Telegraph reports, with Carole Middleton scoring an invitation to the royal box at the Ascot races. That’s what Paul Burrell's brother-in-law tells the News of the World , per a 1993 pub confession. "He suddenly tells me he's been having a sexual relationship with Princess Diana," Ron Cosgrove said. “He said they did it in the bedroom, the bath, everywhere. He claimed Diana liked to be domineering.”

Princess Caught Prancing Naked at School

Princess Eugenie got a stern rebuke from school officials after prancing naked around her college campus last month. The Duke of York's daughter reportedly downed drinks with friends before dancing in the buff around the £23,000-a-year school. Their playful shrieks awoke senior staff. "It was nothing more than high jinks at the end of term,” a royal source told the Press Association.
